ORANGE NUT COOKIES 
A Crisp Cookie.

1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg
shredded rind of 2 oranges
1/2 cup chopped nuts
2 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Cream margarine. Add sugar and cream until light. Beat in egg, orange rind, and chopped nuts. Add sifted flour and baking powder and mix well. Chill until firm.

Divide dough. Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut into various shapes with cookie cutter.

Bake on a baking sheet at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned on edges.

Makes 4 dozen (2 1/2-inch) cookies.
