GREEN APPLE PIE 
9 inch double crust pastry
6 c. peeled, sliced apples
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
1/2 to 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
Dash of salt
1 tbsp. butter

Heat oven to 425 degrees. In large bowl combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Toss lightly to mix. Turn into pastry lined pie pan. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust (cut slits for steam to escape). Seal and flute edge. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until juice begins to bubble through slits in crust.
