HERBED WAX BEANS `N CARROTS 
1 sm. onion
2 tbsp. butter
1 can yellow wax beans
1 1/2 c. sliced carrots
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. mace

Cook finely chopped onion in butter until tender. Add 1/4 cup liquid drained from beans, carrots, salt, pepper and mace. Cover and cook until carrots are almost tender. Add drained beans. Mix lightly and heat. Good with roast beef. Serves 6.
