VANILLA CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE
ICING
 
3/4 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 cup sweet milk
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
2 tbsp. vanilla flavoring

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add remaining ingredients and pour into greased and floured cake pan.

Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean (about 35 minutes).

ICING:

2/3 c. cocoa
1 1/2 c. sweet milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
Dash salt

Bring to rolling boil for 3 minutes. Cream while cooling.
