HERBED GREEN BEANS WITH GARLIC 
1 lb. green beans
2 tsp. butter
1 sm. onion, thinly sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp. chopped fresh thyme or oregano (1/2 tsp. dried)
Salt & pepper

Trim beans. Cook in rapidly boiling water for 4 to 5 minutes; drain.

In a heavy skillet melt butter, add onion and garlic and cook on medium until onion is tender. Stir in beans, thyme and salt and pepper to taste. Makes 4 servings.
