PEANUT BUTTER OATMEAL COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter-flavor Crisco
1 c. peanut butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. Quaker oats (quick)
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Beat the first three ingredients until creamy. Beat in water, egg and vanilla. Add combined dry ingredients. Mix well. Cover and chill about 2 hours. Heat oven about 350 degrees. Roll into round balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Dip fork in sugar and make crisscross pattern. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until brown.
