Sliced salt pork or bacon 1 bunch collards Salt to taste Wash the salt pork and place in water to cover in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until tender. Wash the collards thoroughly. Remove stems, large veins and imperfect areas. Add collards and salt to pork and water. Cook for about 45 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes or until tender. |
