CORN DOG BATTER | |
1 c. flour 1 tbsp. dry mustard 3/4 c. cornmeal 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. shortening 1 c. milk 1 egg Heat about 2 inches of oil in pan suitable for deep-frying. Oil needs to be hot. Make batter by combining dry ingredients in mixing bowl, then cutting in shortening. Add milk and egg; stir to remove lumps. |
