CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. pecans
1 1/2 c. butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/2 c. sour cream
1/4 tsp. baking soda
6 eggs
3 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. brandy, rum, or almond flavoring
Pinch of salt

Cream together first 6 ingredients. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add remaining ingredients, except for 1/2 cup nuts. Sprinkle the 1/2 cup nuts in the bottom of a tube pan or bundt pan that has been greased and floured. Pour in cake batter and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
