HEALTH BRAN MUFFINS 
6 c. bran (Millers Bran)
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. melted shortening
3 c. honey
4 eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt

Pour water and shortening over bran and mix. Set aside. Mix other ingredients. Add bran and mix. Fill muffin cups 3/4 full and bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Add raisins if desired. Bake up all batter and freeze muffins.
