4 med. sweet potatoes or yams Dark brown sugar butter Walnuts Salt Marshmallow creme Spray a 9x9 inch baking dish with Pam. Slice a layer of sweet potatoes (not too thick), then sprinkle some dark brown sugar on them. Add some walnuts, then dot with butter. Add a dash of salt and repeat layers until dish is filled. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove and add marshmallow creme and return to oven for a few more minutes, just long enough for the marshmallow creme to heat up and brown. Remove from oven and let set for a few minutes. Serve hot or room temperature. No actual amounts of ingredients are given as it is up to you on how much you would like to use. I usually use about 3/4 lb. of brown sugar, about 1 1/2 sticks butter, lots of nuts and a large jar of marshmallow creme. |
