BEEF BRISKET 
Place 1 beef brisket in Dutch oven. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 teaspoon salt. Slice 1 onion on brisket. Add 2 bay leaves, dash of pepper and a couple of dashes of paprika. NO WATER. Bake in 300 degree oven for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours. Meat will be very tender.

Remove from oven and remove bay leaves. Place brisket on heated platter and make gravy by adding water to juices and thickening with water and flour mixture. Gravy is delicious served over meat and on mashed potatoes.
