BUTTERMILK CINNAMON BARS 
9 x 13 buttered pan
1 1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1 well-beaten egg
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda

Mix sugar and flour; cut in butter. Combine 2 cups of this mixture with walnuts and coconut and press in bottom of buttered pan; set aside.

Combine egg and remaining ingredients and beat until smooth. Stir remaining butter mixture into the egg mixture. Spread it over the first layer in the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

While still warm, drizzle icing: 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 1-2 tablespoons half and half.
