BUTTERMILK-CINNAMON BARS 
2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, just add
2 c. powdered sugar
3 or 4 tbsp. sour cream

In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, brown sugar and butter; blend at low speed until crumbly. Press 2 cups of the crumb mixture into ungreased 13x9 inch pan.

To the remaining crumb mixture, add remaining bar ingredients; blend well. Pour evenly over crumb mixture. Bake 350 F. for 20 to 25 minutes.

In small bowl, blend frosting ingredients; 2 cups powdered sugar, sour cream and almond extract. Spread over cooled bars. Yields 36 servings.
