GERMAN CHURCH APPLE PUDDING 
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg, beaten
5-6 lg. apples

Peel and slice apples into casserole (buttered) dish. Blend all the other ingredients to pie dough consistency. Sprinkle with topping. Make topping.

TOPPING:

1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Dot dough liberally with butter and sprinkle 1/2 cup water over entire top. Do not use heavy hand. Serve warm with whipped topping, ice cream or custard sauce.
