SWEET AND SOUR BEEF STEW 
2 lb. chuck steak, cut in 1-inch cubes
1/4 c. cooking oil
1 c. water
1/2 c. catsup
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 lg. onion
1 can carrots

Heat cooking oil in a skillet. Combine water, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, salt and onion. Cook for 30 minutes. Brown meat. Pour sauce into pan drippings of skillet. Drain meat and put in a baking dish. Pour sauce over. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. Add carrots and bake about 20 minutes. Serve over rice.
