SWEET AND SOUR BEEF STEW 
1 1/2 lb. boneless beef chuck steak, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
2 tbsp. all purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
3 med. carrots, thinly sliced
1 med. onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Stir beef, flour, and salt in 2 quart casserole until beef is coated. Add remaining ingredients. Microwave, covered, at HIGH for 5 minutes. Reduce power to MEDIUM and cook until beef is tender, 50 minutes to 1 hour, stirring 2-3 times during cooking. Let stand 5-10 minutes. Serve over rice or noodles. Makes 6-8 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
