SWEET AND SOUR CABBAGE 
1 med. red cabbage, shredded
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. salt
1 sm. onion
4 slices bacon, crisp
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. pepper

Heat 1 inch of salted water (1/2 teaspoon salt to 1 cup water) to boiling. Add 2 tablespoons vinegar and cabbage; cook for 10 minutes. Fry bacon; drain all but 2 tablespoons grease. Stir in brown sugar and flour, onion, water, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Stir until thick, add bacon. Um! Um!
