SWEET AND SOUR CABBAGE 
1 sm. red cabbage (shredded)
2 apples, sliced and peeled (tart apples)
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
2 slices bacon (chopped)
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. salt
Dash pepper and salt
1 sm. onion (thinly sliced)

In electric skillet at 300 degrees, simmer bacon. Add apples, cabbage, sugar, water, pepper, salt, onion and vinegar. Reduce to 210 degrees and simmer until tender. This recipe is also good if you leave out the bacon and onion.
