1 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs 2 med. chopped onions 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. cumin 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 2 eggs, slightly beaten 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 3 tsp. chili powder Hot buttered noodles or rice Mix together and form into balls the ground beef, bread crumbs, 1 of the chopped onions, 1/2 the garlic powder, cumin, salt, pepper and eggs. Bake in preheated 450 degree oven for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, combine remaining ingredients, except noodles or rice, bring to a boil, reduce heat, Simmer. When meatballs are cooked, add to sauce. Simmer for 45 minutes. Serve over noodles or rice. 4 large servings. |
