GOLD CAKE 
1/2 c. egg yolks
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt

Beat egg yolks, water, vanilla, and soda with mixer until foamy, about 3 minutes. Beat sugar in gradually. Fold dry ingredients in carefully, a few tablespoons at a time. Turn into a 10 inch ungreased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
