CORNMEAL MUSH 
3 c. water
1 c. cornmeal
1 tsp. salt
1 c. water

Mix together 1 cup water, cornmeal and salt. Pour into boiling water, stirring constantly. When thickened cover and cook over low heat 10 minutes. This is a hot cereal and is best with cream and maple syrup. Or, allow to cool completely, slice it and fry it in butter. Serve with maple syrup.
