COOKED CORNMEAL MUSH 
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. cold water
1 tsp. salt
3 c. boiling water

Mix cornmeal, cold water and salt. Slowly add this mixture into boiling water in a saucepan. Cook and stir until thick. Lower heat. Cover and cool 15 minutes, stirring as needed to keep from sticking. Can be topped with sugar.
