I took a chance and made this for dessert and it was a HIT, to put it mildly! My guests couldn't stop raving about this pears recipe. SUPER, Easy to make, an amazing recipe to add to my "dinner party specials ~ Dessert" file.

This recipe was super-simple and very tasty. I did alter a few things, though. 1) I used brown sugar instead of granulated sugar. 2) I added a little cinnamon to the tops of the pears. 3) I accidentally doubled the amount of cream, but I think it ended up making it great. It created a nice, creamy sauce to spread across. Of course, don't do this if you're going to have it with whipped cream or ice cream! All in all, a big hit!

Easy to make. I used brown sugar in place of white. I also replaced the cream with Baileys Irish Cream, and for an additional experiment tried one with Chocolate Vodka instead of the cream. Yummy!
