FRIED CORNMEAL MUSH | |
3/4 c. cornmeal 3/4 c. cold water 2 1/2 c. boiling water 1/2 tsp. salt Butter In a heavy saucepan, combine cornmeal and cold. Stir in boiling water and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Pour the mixture into a greased 9"x5" loaf pan and chill overnight. Cut into slices and fry in butter until brown on both sides. Serves 4 to 6. |
