BRISKET OF BEEF | |
3 to 3 1/2 lb. brisket 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 pkg. onion soup mix 1 tsp. garlic powder 3/4 c. catsup Preheat oven at 325 degrees. Line roasting pan with heavy foil (enough so whole brisket can be covered and sealed or use oven cooking bag according to directions). Sprinkle or mix together topping and place on brisket. Seal. Bake for 3 to 3 1/2 hours. I use oven cooking bag. It browns well and there is an abundance of juice for gravy. |
