BARBECUED BRISKET OF BEEF 
Garlic salt, savory salt, and liquid smoke
4 to 5 lb. lean brisket or beef

Sprinkle meat with seasonings and liquid smoke. Wrap in heavy foil. Place in a roaster pan and bake at 300 degrees for 4 1/2 hours.

SAUCE:

1 c. catsup
1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
3 or 4 drops Tabasco
1 tsp. salt
2 c. water

Mix all sauce ingredients and heat until boiling.

Remove meat from the oven and remove the foil. Place back in the roaster pan. Cover with the sauce.

Bake another 45 minutes, basting every 10 minutes with the sauce.

Cool and chill meat overnight. Save sauce. Slice meat and heat sauce separately. Heat meat slices in the microwave for 2 minutes on high, or in the oven for 30 minutes. Spoon hot sauce over the heated slices.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
