1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. raisins
2 c. boiling water
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
3 eggs, beaten
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Put first 8 ingredients in saucepan and let boil. Boil 10 minutes. Cool a little bit, add rest of ingredients. Pour into 9"x13" pan, which has been greased and floured. Bake 30 minutes in 350 degree oven or until toothpick comes out clean. Frost with brown sugar frosting.
