BOILED CIDER PIE 
1 gal. cider
1 recipe 2-crust pie pastry
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 to 2 tbsp. butter
1 egg

Boil cider is saucepan until reduced to 1 cup. Cool. Line pie plate with half the pastry. Combien boiled cider, sugar, flour, butter and egg in bowl; beat well. Pour into pie shell. Top with remaining pastry. Seal edges. Bake at 400 degrees until browned.
