LEMON SNAPS 
2 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2 eggs
2 tsp. lemon extract or real lemon juice
Pinch salt
3 c. flour
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 tsp. baking soda

Cream shortening and sugar. Add beaten eggs and flavoring and dry ingredients. Roll in small balls, dip in sugar. Do not flatten. Bake in 350 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Yield: approximately 4 to 5 dozen.
