1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. whipping or heavy cream
Coarse sugar, plain or colored

Drop egg yolks into boiling water, simmer for 20 minutes, then drain. Cream butter, adding granulated sugar gradually. Add hot hard cooked egg yolks, mixing thoroughly. Stir in flour and salt mixed together and cream alternately.

Press dough into a rope with round disk of cookie press. Cut into 4 inch lengths and form into rings, sealing ends together. Or break off 2 small balls of dough, roll into 4 inch ropes and form into rings.

Brush with beaten egg whites, sprinkle with coarse sugar. Place on greased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Makes 3 1/2 - 4 dozen.
