CARAMEL FROSTING 
1 1/2 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. light Karo
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. Spry or Crisco
1/4 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Place all ingredients in sauce pan. Bring slowly to rolling boil. Stirring constantly. boil for 2 minutes. Cool to lukewarm and add vanilla. Beat until creamy. (If frosting becomes to thick, add a little cream.)
