“PRUNE LOAF” IS IN:
NEXT RECIPE:  PUMPERNICKEL BREAD

PRUNE LOAF 
1/2 cup fat
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup prune juice
1 cup chopped cooked prunes
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Cream the fat and sugar. Add the rest of the ingredients and beat for two minutes. Bake one hour in a well-greased loaf pan in a moderately slow (325°F) oven. Cool and frost.
