APPLE BREAD | |
1/2 c. butter 3/4 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 tbsp. milk 2 tbsp. maple syrup 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour, sifted 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 2 c. diced apples 1/2 c. chopped pecans Cream together butter, sugar, eggs, milk, maple syrup and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in flour, salt and baking soda. Add apples and pecans. Pour into a greased and lined 9x5 inch loaf pan and sprinkle the top with cinnamon. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until it tests done. Remove from pan and while warm brush the bread with 1 tablespoon maple syrup and 1 tablespoon butter. |
