1/2 c. butter
1 lg. onion, chopped
1/2 clove garlic, crushed
1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/3 c. red wine vinegar
1 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. cola beverage

Melt butter in saucepan. Add onion and garlic; cook over low heat about 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients except cola; simmer about 20 minutes. Remove from heat; add cola. Excellent for meats and poultry. Works great for barbequed beef on a bun.
