PORK CHOP ONION RICE BAKE 
6 pork chops
1 c. uncooked rice
3 c. hot water
2 tbsp. vegetable oil or drippings
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix

Brown chops in oil. Spread uncooked rice in bottom of 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Reserve 1 tablespoon of seasonings from soup mix. Sprinkle remaining soup mix over rice. Add hot water to rice mixture. Arrange browned chops on top of rice mixture. Sprinkle chops with reserved seasonings. Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. (Depends on thickness of chops). Remove foil and cook 10 minutes or more until excess liquid evaporates.
