FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1 lb. light brown sugar
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. black walnuts
1 lb. chopped dates
1/2 lb. green cherries (candied)
1/2 lb. red cherries (candied)
3 1/2 c. flour

Cream the butter and sugar; add the remaining ingredients.

Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes.
