FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
1/2 c. shortening
1 3/4 c. sugar
3 c. flour
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 lb. candied cherries, chopped
2 lb. candied dates, chopped
1/2 lb. candied pineapple, chopped
1 lb. pecans, chopped
1 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. warm water (little less)

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs. Sift dry ingredients. Dissolve soda in water. Stir all together. Drop by tablespoons on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350°F until done.
