OATMEAL CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE 
1 3/4 c. water, boiling
1 c. oatmeal, uncooked
1 c. brown sugar, lightly packed
1 c. sugar
1 cube butter
2 extra lg. eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cocoa
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Pour water over oatmeal. Let stand 10 minutes. Add sugars and butter. Stir until butter melts. Add eggs. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cocoa. Add to sugar mixture; mix well. Add 1/2 chips. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle nuts and chips on top. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
