PECAN PIE CAKE 
1 yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 c.)
1/2 c. melted butter
1 egg, well beaten
Water that is recommended on box of cake mix

Spread in greased 9 x 12 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

2/3 c. reserved cake mix
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. Karo syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, well beaten
2 c. chopped pecans

Mix well. Pour over first layer. Increase oven temperature to 375 degrees. Bake 35-40 minutes. If jiggles it is not done. Cool before cutting. Top with whipped cream, Cool Whip or ice cream. Delicious!
