IMPOSSIBLE FRENCH APPLE PIE | |
The pie that does the impossible by making its own crust. 6 cups apples, sliced and pared 1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 3/4 cup milk 2 tbsp. softened butter 2 eggs 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease 10x1 1/2-inch pie plate. Mix apples and spices; turn into plate. Beat remaining ingredients until smooth, about 15 seconds in blender or 1 minute with hand beater. Pour into plate. Sprinkle with Streusel. Bake at 325°F until knife inserted in center comes out clean, about 55 to 65 minutes. Cool. STREUSEL: 1 cup Bisquick baking mix 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1/3 cup packed Brown sugar 3 tbsp. butter (firm) Mix Bisquick, chopped nuts, brown sugar and firm butter till crumbly. |
