CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES | |
1 c. softened butter or other shortening 1 c. granulated sugar 2 eggs 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. unsifted flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 1 c. chopped nuts 1 pkg. (12 oz.) Baker's semi-sweet chocolate chips Beat butter, eggs, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients; blend well. Stir in nuts and chips. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased baking sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake in moderate oven (375 degrees F.) for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 8 dozen cookies. |
