4 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, optional
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa

Melt butter and cocoa, cool slightly. Stir in sugar, then eggs. Mix in balance of ingredients. Pour into well greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Do not overbake. Remove from oven when a little dough still sticks to a toothpick. When cool, frost with your favorite chocolate frosting.
