2 lbs. lean hamburger 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 lg. onion 1/4 c. flour 1 1/2 c. catsup 2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 c. water 16 hamburger buns, split Cook meat, onion and salt and pepper until meat is not red, then blend in the flour. Add water, then Worcestershire sauce and catsup. Simmer stirring occasionally, 15 to 20 minutes. Serve on buns. This can be made ahead before the grandchildren arrive and reheated. If you are in a hurry to serve the kinder, reduce the water to 2 cups so you will not have to simmer as long. |
