TOFU SLOPPY JOES | |
2 lb. tofu, mashed well 1 c. chopped onions 1 c. sliced mushrooms 1 c. chopped green pepper 1/2 tsp. liquid hot pepper sauce 2 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tbsp. liquid amino 1/4 c. catsup 1 (15 oz.) tomato sauce Saute the onion and pepper in butter in a large skillet for about 3 minutes. Add the mushrooms and saute for 2 minutes more. Stir in the tomato sauce, catsup, tofu, liquid amino, chili powder. Simmer for 5 minutes. Sloppy Joes can be served in toasted buns, rice or spaghetti. Serves 4. |
