I tried this recipe, wondering how the orange juice would taste with the brisket, but it was outrageous. In fact, the only frozen OJ I had was a 12 oz. can and I just poured the whole thing in. The brisket stayed red and juicy in the crock pot and my whole family loved it.

Loved it!!! Very easy to make. I used a larger crockpot and put 2 pieces of corned beef in it and 12 oz of OJ. Cooked it on high for the 1st hr and then on low for 9 hrs. It fell apart. I will make this again!

Awesome, easy recipe. The corned beef was delicious. It just fell apart, it was so tender. The orange flavor was quite different and pleasant. Who knew? Thanks to whomever dreamed this one up. It was so simple. Will make again! (BTW, I used a small roast, 1.75 lbs., and if I did it again I would adjust the time and cook it just a bit less.)

Freaked out about cooking corned beef w/o cabbage etc.... One hour away and can already tell this is special! The neighbors just walked by the porch and said the smell was yummy from a block away!!!

I made this for my gourmet cooks (son-in-law & daughter) & jokingly told them that I "slaved all day on this". They LOVED it & were surprised at how easy AND delicious this was! I can't wait to make it again.

Followed directions and burned the OJ to the meat! I used 12 oz Frozen OJ concentrate and it wasn't enough, you must add water or something, otherwise it all dries up and burns the meat, and makes a huge sticky mess on the crock pot to clean up. Disappointed because of all the Rave reviews! : (

I made this for my family with ALOT of hesitation. My gut was absolutely right. My husband actually said, "I'll be as nice as I can.....NEVER make that again! It literally tasted like it sounds. An orange juice soaked piece of meat.

I eat corn beef a lot (I live with Filipinos - lol) and saw this recipe and had to try it out. IT WAS AWESOME!! SO moist and tender! Tasted great! I'm not a big fan of the spice packet and cabbage method anyway and, as an added bonus, throw this in the crock pot, add the OJ and some water and let it cook overnight. Wake up to an enticing aroma and you're rewarded with a simple-to-make meal that gets raves!!!

I have been cooking corn beef for many years. First of all you do have to like corn beef, it has a rather unique taste. First time I did it with OJ I used about a cup of regular OJ, 1/4 c brown sugar,1T spicy mustard and blk pepper. It comes out great juicy and tender. And Bryan from Ok, Buddy I'm thinking you might have to invest in a new crockpot!

This is an excellent recipe - the orange flavor really complements the corned beef taste. I put a little water in the bottom before cooking and used the 12 hour slow setting. I received a compliment from my picky daughter about how good it was. Does not get better than that ...

Can new potatoes be used with this recipe with OJ?

I also put sweet potatoes in the pot, because they go good with orange juice and I also put some crushed pineapple over the potatoes. Delicious!
