CREAM CHEESE PARTY SPREAD
This mix can be used as a spread on different types of bread or it can be used as a dip for crackers. If you use the mix for a spread on bread, cover the mixture with a spoonful of the diced tomatoes as a garnishment for added flavor. The mixture also makes a delicious baked potato topping!

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup finely diced celery
1/4 cup finely diced chives
1/4 cup finely diced red, yellow and red peppers
2 slices fried bacon, chopped into 6 to 8 pieces (approx. 1/4 cup)
1/2 pkg. dry ranch dressing mix (HIDDEN VALLEY®)
about 1/4 cup liquid ranch dressing (enough to make mixture spreadable)
4 to 5 finely diced and seeded Roma tomatoes (any tomato can be used, but Roma's are less expensive in the off season)

Mix cream cheese, celery, chives, peppers, bacon and dry ranch dressing mix together. Use enough of the liquid ranch dressing to make mix spreadable. Keep the diced tomatoes separate.

Note: An ideal way of fixing canapes is to use a Pampered Chef fluted bread tube along with a package of Pillsbury Refrigerated French bread. After baking the bread, cool and slice in approximately 1/4-inch slices and spread the mix and garnish with the diced tomatoes. This makes a great finger sandwich for parties.
