BLACK BOTTOM CUPCAKES 
8 oz. cream cheese
1 beaten egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt

Beat well. Stir in 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips. Set aside and use on top of chocolate mixture.

1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

1 c. water
1/3 c. oil
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat well. Fill small muffin pans (liners 1 3/4-inch size) with chocolate mixture. Drop first mixture with cream cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Yield: 4 dozen.
