SOFT BREADSTICKS | |
1 pkg. active dry yeast 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. oil 2/3 c. warm water At least 2 c. all purpose flour Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar, salt and oil, mixing well. Stir in 1 1/3 cups flour, mixing until well combined. Add 1/2 cup (or more) flour to make a soft dough. Knead for 5 minutes. Cover and let rise until doubled. Punch down, press out onto a greased cookie sheet. Let rise 15 minutes. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut dough in strips. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and Parmesan cheese, if desired. |
