MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white corn syrup
3-4 quarts popped corn
1 stick (1/2 c.) butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Combine sugar, butter, syrup and salt in a 2 quart dish; bring to boil in microwave and cook on full power for 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in soda. Put popped corn in paper bag. Pour syrup over the popcorn, close the bag and shake. Cook in bag on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake. Cook another minute and a half. Shake again. Cook another minute or minute and a half. Pour in pan, cool and break apart.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
